Who We Are
The Muslim Community Center (MCC) is an organization of Muslim Americans that provides a wholesome spiritual enviornment whose activities seek to strengthen the Islamic identity of young Muslims and their families, through the teachings of the Qur’ān, the Noble Prophet Muhammad (s), and his family (the Ahl al-Bayt). Many organizations exist to do just this, however, MCC is unique in its focus on teaching authentic Islamic knowledge in the English language and through culturally relevant programming for the American context.
By engaging on issues and challenges peculiar to the Western context, we hope to equip the next generation with a strong religious foundation to guide their lives as Americans, give them confidence in their religious values, commitment to their community, and inspire them to contribute positively to their broader American society.
